In 2025, Whispers of Love secured land on Bussi Island, Uganda, for a new eco-friendly boarding school and children’s home. The project aims to create a safe, sustainable environment where children can learn, live and grow.

The planned campus will include classrooms, accommodation, a community library, spaces for meals and daily activities, and outdoor learning areas. Gardens will provide space to grow vegetables, fruit and other food for the school, helping children develop practical skills and connect with nature.

Sustainability is central to the project. A borehole and water pump have already been installed, and environmentally friendly interlocking bricks are being produced for construction. Renewable energy and responsible use of natural resources are also part of the long-term vision.

The work is already underway. Every week, the team travels to Bussi Island to prepare the land, tend to the fields, plant crops and move the project forward.

Building the school will take time and continued support. Donations, volunteers and partnerships all help bring the plans closer to reality, creating a lasting home for education and care where more children can build a brighter future.
