School Life & Activities

School life goes beyond the classroom. Throughout the week, children take part in creative,
cultural and community activities that encourage curiosity, confidence and connection,
while giving them space to learn from their surroundings and from one another.

Cultural Day

On the last Sunday of each month we host a special Cultural Day to reconnect children with their roots.

Elders and grandmothers from the community are invited to share traditions stories and ways of life from the past.

Through storytelling cooking dancing and simple moments together children learn values such as respect kindness and community.

These days help preserve cultural heritage while strengthening the bond between generations.

Music & Drumming Lessons

Once a week children are introduced to traditional Ugandan music and rhythms.

Local young musicians from the community volunteer to teach instruments such as the Adungu Engalabi Endigidi Amadinda and traditional drums and xylophones.

These sessions encourage expression coordination and teamwork while connecting children to Uganda’s rich musical heritage.

Nature Walks & Community Tours

Together with volunteers children explore their surroundings and guide visitors through their village.

These walks allow children to take the lead share their daily environment and build confidence by becoming storytellers of their own world.

It is a moment of exchange where both children and visitors learn from one another.

Painting & Creative Expression

Through painting drawing and simple crafts children are given space to express their imagination freely.

Using materials such as watercolors paper and handmade tools they explore creativity while developing focus confidence and joy in creating something of their own.

Saturday Community Program

Every Saturday the school opens its doors to children from the wider community.

Through reading games and shared activities the program encourages a love for books and learning while creating a space where children from different backgrounds can meet connect and grow together.

Daily Learning & Play

Alongside these activities children take part in daily lessons in English reading Maths and other subjects.

Lessons are balanced with play outdoor time and shared meals creating a holistic environment for learning development and well-being.
